The approaches I use are person centred, don’t require you to spend hours talking and re-living the past and allow you to take the lead role in your personal improvement journey.

I’m Suzanne, a trained coach, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programmes) and IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) practitioner, teacher, trainer and supervisor. I have worked in many fields, with many different people, travelled all over the world and had many ups and downs. I’ve definitely never done things in the order we believe we are supposed to such as not being interested in university in my teens and then training to be a teacher at Cambridge University in my thirties!

Life can be messy and we are not always sure what we want, which direction to go in and how to manage some of our feelings or anxieties. I can help and I’m looking forward to working with you.

Executive Coaching...

I have worked with children for over 30 years. I can give your child the support and skills they need to be happy, stop worrying and get their best out of their lives. I will offer guidance, use coaching techniques to support them. I can help them learn about their brain and autonomic nervous system to help support them when anxiety overwhelms them. Your child can ask me anything that they may be worrying about or causing them to feel overwhelmed and stressed. I want your child to live their best life and feel safe to be themelves.

FAQs

What is life coaching?

Life coaching is a one-to-one confidential relationship led by your needs – you decide what you want to talk about, work on and change. Sessions can last up to 90 minutes. We work on the belief that the mind which holds the problem also holds the solution. As a good life coach, I will listen, ask questions that may gently challenge and use coaching tools to help you think differently and bring about the change or peace you are seeking.

How can coaching help?

Life coaching can help when you want to improve aspects of your life, have a problem or issue you want to solve, or you want to do things differently. Coaching will help you consider what you want from life and who you want to be, rather than just being. It offers change in a lasting and sustained way.

Is it like counselling?

Counselling and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) help us gain a conscious understanding of the problem initially by talking through the detail with a practitioner. NLP does not require you to talk through the finer detail of your experiences for it to be successful. NLP needs you to be open to, and want to, change. This change can come about without having to talk at length about your experiences. You need to be able to access your feelings and memories around these experiences, but they do not have to be verbalised.

Where does the therapy take place?

The therapy can take place at my coaching room, over the internet or at your home. Whichever is the most suited to yourself.

How many sessions are advised?

My aim is to get you to where you want to be as quickly as possible. Everyone is different and responds differently to different therapies. Normally between 1-4 sessions is advised, but some people may only require one session. This is heavily dependent on what we are working on.

Are you insured and have a DBS?

Yes – I am covered by Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance. I hold an up to date DBS check, which can be seen on request.

I am a Cambridge educated teacher, trainer, coach, supervisor and mediator.

Having worked across many sectors including Business and Social Care as well as Education, I am both highly knowledgeable and very relatable. I have had many years of experience learning about the impact of early life adversity and the benefit of a relational approach, both in the classroom, and at an LA Virtual School.

I am passionate about sharing this knowledge, but more importantly, I know, and research confirms this, trauma informed knowledge and practice improves child and staff wellbeing, learning outcomes, attendance and attainment (as well as joy!).

I have worked with schools, school leaders, governors, social workers, foster carers, adopters, Educational Psychologists and SEN teams nationwide.

Trauma and attachment aware Early Years training – thinking about the setting and environment, including how adults respond and what they say, sensitive to the range of childhood experiences and development.
